Celery Apple Green Smoothie with Ginger

A refreshing green smoothie made with celery, apple, ginger, and fresh greens. This easy, naturally sweet drink comes together in just 5 minutes and makes a light breakfast or energizing snack.

Ingredients
  

  • 3–4 celery stalks, roughly chopped
  • 1 medium green or yellow apple
  • 1–1½ inches (3–4 cm) fresh ginger
  • 1 cup loosely packed baby spinach or a small handful of parsley
  • ¾–1 cup (200–250 ml) cold water or unsweetened coconut water
  • 1–2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice (optional)
  • Ice, as needed (optional)

Method
 

  1. Wash the celery, apple, and leafy greens thoroughly.

  2. Chop the celery into small pieces. Cut the apple into quarters and remove the core. Peel and slice the ginger.

  3. Pour ¾ cup of cold water or coconut water into the blender.
  4. Add the celery, apple, ginger, and greens.

  5. Blend on high speed for 60–90 seconds, or until completely smooth.
  6. Check the consistency. Add more water if you prefer a thinner smoothie.

  7. Taste and add lemon juice, more apple, or additional ginger if desired.
  8. Pour into a glass and serve immediately.

Notes

For a thinner smoothie, add a little more water and blend again.
If the ginger flavor is too strong, start with a smaller piece and adjust to taste.
Optional additions include cucumber, avocado, chia seeds, fresh lemon juice, or a small piece of banana.
Serve the smoothie immediately for the freshest flavor and best texture. If needed, store it in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours and shake well before drinking.
