Almond Milk Overnight Oats (Single Serving)

This recipe makes one satisfying serving of creamy overnight oats with chia seeds, fresh berries, and banana.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats about 45 g
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • cup unsweetened almond milk about 160 ml
  • ½ small banana
  • 3–4 strawberries
  • A small handful of blueberries

Method
 

  1. Add the rolled oats and chia seeds to a glass, jar, or small bowl.

  2. Pour in the almond milk and stir well to combine.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
  4. In the morning, stir the oats again. If the mixture is too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons of almond milk until it reaches your desired consistency.
  5. Slice the banana and strawberries. Stir them into the overnight oats along with the blueberries, or arrange the fruit on top just before serving.

Notes

For the best texture, refrigerate the oats for at least 4 hours or overnight. If the mixture is too thick in the morning, stir in 1–2 tablespoons of almond milk. Use unsweetened almond milk for a less sweet breakfast, or add maple syrup or honey to taste. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Add the fresh fruit just before serving for the best flavor and texture.
